Ananda Alves - Forgotten

2014-06-14 1

He stumbled over something while he crossed a path
Distracted
Reminded of a smile that wasn't familiar at all
Crooked
Thought about someone that didn't smell so good
Fetid

He felt the heavy air and noticed it's not that bad
Didn't pay attention when he bumped into a man
Got amused with the scene of a weird frozen swing
He knew it didn't sway but prefered to imagine it did

He ran and took a seat on that swing
So fast
Tried to understand what just happened
Too sad
Then he whispered with dimmed eyes
A cry

'That something I stumbled over,
The unfamiliar crooked smile
The fetid someone I thought about
The man I almost threw to the ground
Oh my God, that's not alright...
Distracted I forgot it was me all the time'
