I missed you,
Just as I turned back,
After saying goodbye,
I remembered your smile.
I had walked barely a step alone,
And I knew I missed you.
I floated in the moments spent,
The hour that had melted away,
On shimmering warmth of friendship.
I wished I had more to say,
I wished the moments stretched
A little longer than infinity.
This was way too little,
Just a small hour with you.
Like a meagre slice of life.
As you walked away,
A little question I had,
'Are you as lost as me? '
'Do you miss me the way I do? '
And when we will meet again,
I know,
Your anticipating eyes will ask,
The same shy question,
'Did you miss me? '
