Think of me as your face is brushed
By the gentle ocean breeze,
And as it softly sweeps through palms
And rustles all the leaves;
Think of me as you ride those waves
From sea to ocean shore;
And as you doze in a beach chair nap
And wake to your own snore.
Think of me as your skin turns brown
From the California rays,
And how I’ll admire your beachy look
And fill your ears with praise.
Think of me as you walk the beach
In casual, skimpy clothes,
And as the sand and water join
To squish between your toes.
On second thought, it’s probably best
If your thoughts are left undone -
You won’t have time to think of me,
You’ll be having too much fun!
