again: HOW IS A WOMAN DEFENDING HERSELF NOT EMPOWERING??!! there's a TON of research these folks who critique ms. sanchez can do, which proves how effective self defense is for women. i suggest they do it.
to say that men should not rape is common sense. anyone with a functional brain (and compassion) would concur with that. women should not either. but to say that "women shouldn't need to learn to protect themselves against rape" (an actual quote) is just illogical.
