Mustafa Mun - Intertwined, Separated.

Intertwined, Separated.

Years had gone by,
Before you and I
Came face to face
At the destined time,
At the destined place.

I had no void in my life -
No space for you to fill.
But you wouldn't rest,
Would you, until
You could be sure
That you are
Important to me?

Yet it would've been best,
If you would've stayed
An acquaintance to me.

For now you leave a void
As you leave my life
For reasons not known to me.
Yet all is justified,
Because I too had lied
To you once...

When I'd told you...
'Do you think it'll make a difference if you're not there! '
I wish I could tell you the things I'll hide...
I wish I could show you my moist eyes...
For I cried that night...
And you think I don't care!

You don't love me,
Yet I can't help loving you...
What was, is no more.
And it is difficult to start anew...

Can we ever share that bond again?
That relationship, so warm and tender...
Hurt me, if you have something to gain.
If it's a battle between you and me,
I shall surrender.

...But our lives
So closely intertwine...
I fear it's a loss
Both yours and mine...
