The sounds of betrayal
move in from behind
as a heckler in the back of her head
calls for the bully pulpit
to resign
while all the pundits
freely attack their
presumed opponent
who himself
is busy lip sinking
his latest campaign slogans
pushing five roast beef sandwiches
for the low cost of only one dollar
...a vote for him
would mean there would be
much less World hunger.....
