Ted Sheridan - Dying To Go Home Without The Baggage

2014-06-14 1

didgeridoos and drums vibrate the night air
while the distant dingo barks at his shadow
the crocs tightened jaws clamp down
holding the darkness of the outback prey
to the ancient traditions......
somehow time travel is possible for me
as death rots my living fossil of a mind
and sister morphine eases the pain of it all
numbness has never been a trait I admired
for pride was the aborigine indigenous to my soul
a soul who wishes to return home......
