In between the brambles in a blueberry patch
I would pick a few to taste.
They were sweet, yet some were tart
and the dilemma I now faced
was should I refrain from doing this
and not have enough for a pie?
Or should I not be so picky
and give this another try?
So the brambles in the blueberry patch
where the fruit was tart and sweet
is where I lingered for another hour,
then went home to make my treat.
