Marilyn Lott - Old Stutzman’s Garage

2014-06-14 6

Way back when I was just a kid
There was a place I loved to go
It was called Stutzman’s garage
You could learn what you didn’t know

Because folks would come in just to get
A little help with their car
Uncle Walter knew how to fix it
If you didn’t have to drive too far

It was a friendly kind of place
A little gossip with some friends
You would pass the time of day
Back then it was the trend

Life was slower then, of course
No need to hurry much it seemed
Didn’t have too much technology
It was still only a dream

Oh how I love to go back
Into the old neighborhood
See the school where I went
And where life was understood

I kinda miss those lazy days
Where folks seem to be in charge
All that is left is a little scrap
Of the Old Stutzman’s garage!
