Is the poem to feel or show feeling,
Is the poem a gift to me or is someone stealing
My very own imagination that poems are art,
Or are they deeds of expression set apart
Is the poem more real than reality could ever show
Or Is reality more real than the poem, will we ever know?
The poets inspire, the poets depress,
The poets identify with joy and distress,
The poets give understanding, but yet they also are curious.
The poets are happy, sad, angry, loving, kind, or furious.
What does it mean to be a poet?
I only wish that someone would know it.
