Pam Thomas - The Dance

2014-06-14 1

You were there, always there. Watching as the child fumbled through the
dark searching for light. She cried out in fear and you answered, quiet
my child, I’m by your side. The dance started then, with innocence and
purity to please your senses.

Your possession of her took place with a fury marked by all lovers.
You would never give her up for the taste of control was to great to
live without. She saw you through eyes of fear. One to young to realize
what you were. She faced you often with tearful eyes but stood firm
when you would surround her and engulf her senses.

The child grew but you held her with a grip so tight she would never
be free of you. You knew there would be others that would come. Others
that would try to give light where only you resided. They did not prevail.
Their vain attempts only fueled your love when she came crashing back
into your arms.

The shoulders she longed to fall upon were never there. It was only yours
she had in times of despair. She ran in vain attempts to free herself from
your clutches into another lovers arms but your jealousy arose with
such vial eruption it eroded her mind and sabotaged their love.

Satisfied with yourself she came back to you as any wounded animal
would, to lick their wounds. You had claimed her as your
lover in her youth. You, only you would have her till the end.
