Troy Clark And Neal Simons - A Demon of the Mind

I run in fear, as fast as I can,
For behind me, silhouette, is a souless man.
His eyes red with hatred, and his hand with a gun,
And behind him a blanket of darkness unpierced by the sun.
Like a raging black ocean and a swarm of evil crows,
The darkness suddenly spreads and consumes all shadows.
I can't see a thing, and grow tired with dread,
But still the man shall mockingly tread.
I trip and fall and turn in horror to see,
That the man, now revealed, is a version of me.
He points the gun at me, the red still in his eyes,
A grin on his face as darkness clouds the skies.
'I am you, ' says the man, 'and you deserve to die! ! ! '
The gun goes off, and all I see now is the pitch black sky.
