David Harris - Causes Unknown

2014-06-14 0

For those whose lives have been robbed in all wars.

They fought for causes unknown,
mowed down by the machinery of war.
Their bodies torn and mangled
fell on battlefields of a distant shore.
Their blood stained the earth
where they fell.
Their leaders looked down
from a lofty height,
then ordered more into the fight..
The loss of just one person,
is such a crime.
Therefore the loss of thousands,
cut short in their prime.
There is no words,
to convey the horror felt.
