David Harris - Unseen And Unheard

2014-06-14 3

Sometimes I walk on eggshells,
tiptoe around,
sit in silence making no sound
just waiting
for my voice to be heard.
I do all this because I fear
of waking the beast within.
If the beast should waken,
the carnivorous environment
begins again
and the peace will be shattered
like fragile glass,
so best I sit in silence
unseen and unheard.
