Barry Van Allen - Melding

2014-06-14 9

Sometimes driving through the mountains,
sort of sets my soul at ease,
the roads themselves are dangerous,
... but, there is something 'bout the scenery.

In particular in autumn,
but, at any time of year,
driving through the mountains,
makes a clouded head, much clearer.

Right before the spring,
when everything is gray,
if your heart is ' heavy set ' ,
it can make that go away.

Spend a day and watch,
as life renews again,
it's not a cure,
but, sure feels pure,
... a clean, internal rain.

The city can't deliver that,
not when you need it most,
the city trees can only give,
what passes as a missing ghost.

Time's the real healer,
I guess we all know that,
but, I think it's somehow better,
when you mix scenery with that.
