Accompanying Verse - Genesis 3: 6 'And when the woman saw that the tree was… a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.'
The woman walked in the Garden through the trees
Where a fallen angel in the form of a serpent waited to deceive
For he thought to himself 'I shall hurt the Father through the children'
Now He has a weakness, this is how I will obtain my revenge
I was cast out for attempting to seize the glory and power that belongs to God
These humans are not so different from me, I only have to convince them to go where I have trod
And how right he was, for humans desired power above all else, including pleasing the Lord
So it is today that we seek that which we can never truly have and which will do us ill, and for Some reason we don't think it odd to lust after that which will be our downfall; are we mad?
Rebelling against Reality, wondering why all our plans fall through and all we think we have
Slips away, but we've lost nothing, it was all just an illusion anyways, so say I then
That Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever, Amen.
