Most unfortunately the roving eye
of Irresponsible Contemplation fastened upon
a most portentous sentence in the book on Goethe’s life
- Goethe played with colour theories
Scientific Intent got wise to it and insisted
on looking at Keely’s alternative science
while Dire Agony tried to compose verses on Goethe
afterwards Wild Excitement decided to Zulu-dance
to Kaboemmielies - so sorely forbidden at work
lacking only gumboots for a good rendition
of mine-dancing African Style!
To calm down, Dire Agony got all to listen to
Carmen - happily slumbering to Habanera
sung in a crystal-clear voice –
Excitement wondering if she should
dig out the words and sing along – but she did not
though Irresponsible Contemplation dreamily added
another Chapter to her Jane Eyre-type of novel
It is now five o’clock in the morning
and Heaven knows who’s writing this...
