He left her there
lying broken on the floor
He walked out
and slammed the door
She was cold
She was scared
But worst of all
she was alone
He broke her heart
and left her to die
He never cared
She gave him everything
but to him it meant nothing
She slowly gained her strength
and pulled herself up
And as she stood, looking in the mirror
I realized that this broken girl
was me....
