I've been racking my brain for days,
Figuring out how to tell you that my love for you has faded away.
I've been living in the dark and in seclusion,
Thinking about how our love was just an illusion.
I've been sober and I've been drunk,
Contemplating how we got ourselves into such a funk.
I've been hoping that you won't cry
When I break the news to you that our love was just a lie.
