Stephen S. Yeandle - The continuum

How could we have traveled so far and never grown any older...

Alone now after walking the same streets and passages with the many -
who are no longer here today

Wheels up and locked down we have flown
with and without one another

Canvas stretched
we once sailed on the gentle and stormy winds
of sea and land together
and of course separately.

We have walked on water like so many others before us
and sipped from the salted seas after turning them to wine

We have danced together alone
and apart
both with melody and at the quiet floor of night without

We have built our homes upon the sands of sea shores and never washed away

Ageless we are joined together
timeless in our mind and heart...
