Barbara Lynn Terry - The Cutting Edge

2014-06-13 8

It is such a sad day,
When we wake up and say,
That today I will end my life,
To be rid of all of this strife,
From all those who I deem,
Just don't give a care it seems,
About whether I live or die,
And whether I go to the sky,
Or the Devil's hell,
But I know I can quell,
All my sorrows and fears,
And I will shed no more tears,
For all the hurt I cannot abide,
And the scars on my arms I cannot hide.
It is such a sad day as well,
When I cannot quell,
All this abuse and rage,
In my heart as in a cage,
So I may as well end it all,
Cause no one cares how I fall.

But wait a second here!
There is no real fear,
And this abuse and rage,
I can quell and open the cage,
To let my sorrows and fears fly away,
So I can start a new and happy day.
