Who I Am
by Barbara Lynn Terry
I am a transgenderd being,
Secure in who I am,
That others will know,
I have nothing to hide.
It will kill them in their minds,
Because for one like me,
I should just not be seen,
Or even heard from.
To those who wield the power,
I am a force to be reckoned with,
Because there is nothing stronger,
Than the force of a secure mind.
Steadfast in the knowledge that,
We know who we are
And who we need to be,
And that we are here to stay.
I am just a normal woman,
With an abnormal birth defect,
That needs medical help,
To be this girl in me.
