It's The Little Things
by Barbara Lynn Terry

The lightening flashed and the thunder roared,
As I sat in my little house just sitting here bored
Out of my mind, and with nothing to do.
So I decided instead I should call you,
Because I need so much to hear your voice,
'Cause listen to you or be bored was not a choice.

The phone rang once, maybe even twice,
To hear your words would be so nice,
And make me at ease from my fright,
Of the raging storm outside.

Everytime I call you, I want to hear you say,
'I love you, ' and 'won't you come to stay,
With me on this very dreadful night? '
Sometimes I swear you lose sight,
Of all that is important in our world,
Because it is the little things I enjoy,
That makes me a very happy girl.
