why does my head hurt,
is it just me?
or could it be
all the pain and suffering i see?
could it be because
all of our shit disappearing,
cuz dey took control
and we aint steering.
we shoulda been watchin em'
cause they're very subtle,
their sly like the devil
have killed and think nuthin of you,
but u gotta understand,
dat im just one man,
wat can i do
when i dont have a plan,
nuthin, except sit back and peep,
watching my culture get killed in da street,
niggas killin brothas
ova sum fuckin jordans,
knowing dat a man's life
is worth so much more than,
a pair of sneakers
but dem niggaz really dont care,
and as da brotha looks up
his eyes change to a blank stare,
cuz da nigga pullin da trigga
he just dont know,
the evil power that
lies within that calico.
but as far as he knows
he was playin by da rules
of da game dat he was taught
and guns are his tools,
cuz he didnt have books, parents
or good teachers,
so all he know how to do
is creep up and sleep ya.
so who's to blame,
da brotha for not havin a glock,
or da nigga dat
sprayed a couple shots!
its not da niggas fault
da he got a fucked up mental,
you can blame da fucked up society
da he was brought into,
you cant put it on da brotha
cuz he aint to blame
it aint his fault
cuz he didnt know da game,
so why does my head hurt
its very clear why,
im tired of seeing the hard workin brothas
get shot up and die.
im tired of hearin' bout funerals
and how da motha's couldnt stop cryin',
to say i aint scared of tomorrow
well, i'd just be lyin',
but i cant worry bout that
cuz its hard enuff survivin',
so wit a brotha's back against da wall
imma keep fightin!
but when will things change
