Officers Aerial Ronell and Ranell Roy bobbed their heads and lip synched to Katy Perry's hit ‘Dark Horse.’ As the tune wrapped up, the two cops laughed, seemingly chalking up their makeshift duet to just being silly.

If you expect all cops to be straight faced, serious individuals, be prepared for a nice surprise.

The Police Department in Rosenberg, Texas recently showed the humorous side of officers while sitting in a patrol car, behind those tinted windows.

A video clip, released by the department on Facebook depicts Officers Aerial Ronell and Ranell Roy bobbing their heads and lip synching to Katy Perry's hit ‘Dark Horse.’

The department is hoping the scene would help humanize its officers and show local residents their officers are normal people who take part in the same stuff that the rest do. It’s safe to say they achieved that goal.

The video has now gone viral, having been shared all over the world by netizens. Ranell Roy, who is featured enjoying the music in the footage, says he wants people to realize they are friends of the community.

Sgt. Ariel Soltura remarked “If we can get people to laugh then we can gain cooperation from the public. They view us just like they would view anybody else.”
