Amit Biswas - 930: Will come back...

2014-06-13 7

I will come back again, to get drenched in this Madras rain,
May not be as a human, but as a cuckoo or a sparrow,
On a September morn as a stray dog to live in a burrow,
On a mild winter day, on a tree in your yard hang as a fruit,
As the jingles around the feet of a young dancer,
Hours will pass ringing to the steps, you learnt once,
I will come back to this land of my love and your dance,

You may see me as a kite flying on the beach,
Or as the crow scavenging a nearby ditch,
May be as the child playing cricket in your yard,
Or on a carcass in the Cooum me seated as a bird,
A long line of ants walking down the wall to a hole,
On the field behind your home on the cross post of the goal,
Find me among the flock of birds flying above your home.
