Hollywood stars Robert Pattinson and Guy Pearce suit up for the North American premiere of their latest flick "the Rover" - a tale set in a gritty, lawless Australia.
It's ten years past a global financial collapse, and Pearce is in pursuit of the takers of his sole possession, a car.
Not much about him is revealed in the film, not even his name.
SOUNDBITE: Actor, Guy Pearce, saying (English)
"It took awhile for me to understand this man through the conversations of the man I was planning because not a lot there on the page about who he is. So, you know there were a few discussions to be had."
While Pearce's character is an utter loner, Pattinson portrays Rey, a dependent gang member, and a brother of one of the thieves who took Pearce's car.
The part is a far cry from the vampire heartthrob role in the Twilight series that propelled Pattinson into international stardom.
But the 28-year-old says it didn't feel all that different.
