archie langford - the road to the iles

2014-06-13 2

From the bonny banks of Loch Lomond
I took the road to the Isles
The day was bright my heart was light
And my face was full of smiles.

I crossed the bridge at Clachan.
To the isle of Siel
At the Tigh an Truish I took in the views,
A pint of wallop and a meal

I did some sketching at Ellenabeich
The scene took my breath away.
And I know that I will certainly try
To return to Argyle one day.

I motored on to Oban
Where I would suggest
The view of the distillery
Out shone all the rest.

Only kidding. Argyle was a painters paradise.
