It lay supine on the hot asphalt
An Apple with a single bite
Still perfect for a hungry mouth
Some fat spoilt Western Youth
Had thrown it there
Yes i was hungry
But i cleaned up the bite
Washed away the guilt
Made my way to the school administration
I said one of your students dropped this
It is a perfect apple that suffered a hungry bite
Could you tell the assembly
That a child from Africa handed it in
He was hungry but honest
