I saw it first
When I was five,
It was small,
So small
So Cornish.
Inside it was painted white
And two of it’s windows
Were of Stained Glass
So simple and
Beautiful
The pews glowed
Warm and brown
In the evening light
It was a place
Of peace.
And God
Must think it
Was good.
But when I was older
The world
And God
Didn’t go together
I lost faith
But I didn’t
Lose my love of
Old Kea Church.
