Ancient mighty oaks
Again, begin
Their root-stomping
Noisy rants
Signaling
Torrents of
Tears for humanity
And we,
The true monarchs
Of this humankind
Wonder
Don’t you ever
Mow with love
Must you always
Destroy those lovely
Purple flower-topped
Milk-weeds
