Patricia Gale - The Circle of Silent Tears

2014-06-13 1

Trapped and caged a golden heart
Given out of love
But taken for granted daily
Giving a circle does not make it right
To ignore the one who gives her all
As her silent tears go unheard

A constant void flows from her
Going without a rose to speak of love
Dinner on the table upon your arrival
Pleas for a kiss as you walk out the door
A tear silently falls as the door closes
And she wishes you would see

She works until twelve bells are heard
Then lays her weary head down beside an empty bed that is filled
A silent tear falls as her eyes close
And she pretends it is her duty
For his circle keeps her chained
Empty lonely feelings that grow

Consuming her soul
Taking her life and nothing in return
She begs for love
And is shoved aside for a program on the silver screen
As he watches he fails to see
The withering rose that holds his circle
And the tears that silently fall
