I saw her crying in the park
A lonely figure in the dark
Her tears they fell upon the ground
Leaving patches wet and round
This fragile figure wracked with pain
Sobbing now without refrain
Of my presence unaware
Venting feelings of despair
An empty pushchair by her side
And then suddenly I realised
I knew I could not intervene
Upon this sad and grieving scene
And so I walked into the night
My heart felt heavy for her plight
Then in my mind I made a cross
A silent prayer to heed her loss.
