Luther Hippolyte - Feelings of Loneliness

2014-06-13 2

So vast is the population neighboring;
Yet, I feel alone.
Trees around bear fruits of stones;
How worst can it get?
The wind in search of chaff,
If so, my mind can drift.
My spirit declares war,
The battle sore,
Like exasperated waves on sea shores;
My mind a constant battle ground.
My ear hears too loud
And my eyes wide shut
My heart utterly blunt.
It didn't happen overnight,
Like sudden wake to dew drops.
Thoughts conceived and gave birth
To sin and death.
I reign dead among the living;
In a land that knows no sunshine
Nor grace or healing.
