Impossible dreams are just that
Desiring just a small taste but knowing that it will never satisfy me
My destructive thoughts lay with me in bed at night, steal into my wildest dreams, and wake with me in the morning
They fill me up until I am empty
If only…
I open my eyes, knowing that this object of my desire is oblivious
But I am not
Feelings unravel in my mind, keeping me alive
Knowing that their fulfillment will only destroy me
If only…
Clarity pervades me as never before
I am here
I want to be there
Choices made
