Liz Munro - My First Ever Poem

Olde To Thy's Lost Love.

Faraway and o'ver the hills
Down pass the willows so green,
i saw my love, i saw my love,
while watching him from the hills above.

Down through the valley
pass golden, flowing streams,
I kissed my love, i kissed my love,
'tis thought 'tis was a dream.

Aboard a tall, whited-sailed ship
sailed my only, true love, bound for Italy,
and on stormy, raising waves -
I lost my love, i lost my love,
To the now dead-calm sea.

And 'tho never thy's heart
have felt such burning, tearing pain,
Thy pain of thy's true love lost to thee
Thy know thy's heart's pain, in time, will mend,
As thy's love was never meant to be.
