Not Long Left - Remembering Someone Is just Not Enough

2014-06-13 5

Despite all the differing views
that pop up everynow and then,
The fact remains It is all a memory.
It rained the other day, My clothes
were soggy and clung to the skin
That smell was there, the one that
comes after a special rainfall,
I found myself walking in two roads
one from the now, and one from then.
I could see her at the front door,
smiling with a towel in her hand
willing me into her warm dry arms.
I chocked in the now, pulled weeds
from a wall, and looked lost.
Music takes me to her, summer
does too, Christmas is painful but
I enjouy the taste of her punch.
Everything that is something else
takes me back to her,
Yet I the creater of the feelings
can not.
