Not Long Left - Flower If only I could satisfy your thirst

2014-06-13 2

It wilts
and I weep.
Much beauty
clouded these eyes
and muted the mouth.
She is curled up in
some corner of my world.
Do not blame time, time
only recorded the demise.
Words once welcomed
now strain the ear.
Scents that soothed the senses
now stand lonely, unused
on a white just dusted shelf.
I took you on a journey and
departed half way, words
seduced me, numbed some
and alighted others.
Jokes are only funny when
the world wants them.
I rain down upon her, she
straightens a little, petals
un curl and for a moment the
once become the now,
Yet she is thirsty,
Thirsty for something I can
no longer give.
She wilts
and I weep.
