David SmithWhite - Song: The Stalker

2014-06-13 3

Each and every moment of each and every day,
I became obsessed with her in every single way.
I followed her home from school,
my diary tells it all:
a crazy man, and a bloody fool.
Riding for a fall.

Each and every minute of each and every hour,
the pressed leaves of her sheltered life,
made her the perfect flower.
I watched her from a distance,
her beauty to admire.
She became my fantasy,
and an object of desire.

Each and every season of each and every year,
my world was void of reason.
I lived in black despair.
Dangerous thoughts and passions,
ruled a desperate soul.
Lust and blind ambition,
rent my self-control.

Each and every second of my waking life,
I studied how to beckon;
to take her as a wife.
Transfix her with a hypnotic gaze,
my steely eyes like ice.
Entrap her in a psychic maze,
or some other charmed device.

Each and every moment of each and every day,
I was the fierce tiger that stalks a craven prey.
Each and every minute of each and every hour,
I strived to impress her with my potency and power.
Each and every season of each and every year,
I roll the memory around my mind:
her eyes afire with fear.

Each and every instance of my allotted time,
to contemplate her innocence,
recalls a heinous crime.
I count out my life in short steps now.
I pace a tiny cell.
I sink beneath the lowest depths,
to reach my special hell.
