Uriah Hamilton - Goddess Being

2014-06-13 1

This life is a misty tear
And you will cry
If you can’t be with the one
You want to be with.

The flowers know your name,
The boulevards sing the sunlight of your fame,
The streetlights flicker in your eyes
Inviting the moon to kiss your hair.

A drunken poet
Prays to Dionysus.
If either of us disappear,
My words will tell
The essence of your goddess being.

I’ll never be ashamed
Of glorifying your face
And reciting your name!
