The day we finally meet
It will be raining softly
On grey and lonely urban streets,
The last dangling autumn leaves
Will fall from shivering November trees.
Perhaps, we’ll gaze into each other’s eyes
At a Buddhist book store
Where the incense burn
Slow and sweet.
We have mystical steps to take
As we journey into mystery.
It can take a multitude of lifetimes
Before certain souls reunite,
And love can only be realized
After making it safely through
The forest of emotional confusion.
I’ve been playing on this playground
Without a close friend for a long time;
I’ve learned to accept solitude as sublime,
But I’m willing to share enlightenment.
