hearstrings of mom
in the centre of house
sublime notes from fingers
she had curved her love into
spread out now over black and white
to reciprocate her affections
light, tender touch soothing a heart
that has prayed for these notes from heaven
a piano that receives the applause
and all my dreams in graceful quiet
a million solid well wishes in her chamber
