Sean Furlong - Barren Space

2014-06-12 1

There, where the darkness takes us
to fill a void unseen
longing, saying where have you been?
It shall never mistake us
because, in the moment, we are there,
and it never stood a chance
'til 'there' lost its pair.

Where does this magic reside
while the placeholder lies therein?
All the magic once inside
now manifest of bodies within
Deep, it slowly takes its toll
changed, not in form but simply function
upon its vessle unconsoled.

A certain sanctity had been created
in its own right to be debated
that one should not say words untrue
or shame the other if too far the one flew.

Teeming with passion, the moment knew
it was created there with the words as clues
a confirmation of conflagration
before as nothing but now found anew
Senses afire while hitched on desire,
desire held back by but a wire.

That bed's been barren there
since one became two
'Nothing' has its welfare
'til there's me and you.
