Joseph T. Renaldi - The Schoolhouse

2014-06-12 9

A day will come near the end of May,
I know won't be a lengthy school day,
For all the teachers as well as my friends,
Will depart early as the academic year ends.

Excited - with smiles so wide and bright,
Will eventually disappear from the school site,
And I can't help but feel sad,
For I'll miss my classmates - good or bad.

Come the end of summer I return once more
To the place of learning we all held in store.
Forever - grateful and anxious me,
I stroll quietly up to the schoolhouse as it use to be.
