Tottering on the edge of oblivion
A cliff over a pool of infinite thought
To jump would be to embrace it
The possibility of infinity
And nothing could be more enticing
An endless quest for truth through thought
I shudder at it, the long and vicious fall
That blocks the path to enlightenment
No course has been less traveled
No path has been less walked
This worn down trail to the power of knowledge
Knows no friends, only many enemies
And those that seek to jump and fall
To immerse themselves in infinite thought
Are hindered by the immensity of the task
The task for truth that has no boundaries
And no end.
