Jacquelyn Rocha - The Train Leaving the Station

2014-06-12 33

It starts slow, works hard, to pull the wight
Of all the freight
Train
Of thoght
So slow don't know if it will leave the station
At all,
Ever
Now
Or if it has left before

People have sat in front of this train
Wondering where it will go
The long hours it plows from city to city
From coast to coast

What is my destination?
What do you read in my face?

The freights are old
This train belongs to the people of the city
Graffiti
A familiar face
A shout out to let you know that
I am here
The people are here
This train belongs to the people of the city
