Legendary stage and screen actress Ruby Dee, who won acclaim on stage, film and television and became a notable figure in the U.S. civil rights movement, has died.
The actress, who was 91 years old, passed away on Wednesday (June 11) night in New Rochelle, New York, surrounded by her family.
The petite actress won an Oscar nomination in 2008 for her role in "American Gangster." After being nominated for six Emmys, she won the award in 1991 for her role in the TV movie "Decoration Day."
Actor Harrison Ford was injured on the set of "Star Wars: Episode VII" on Thursday and was taken to hospital for treatment, a Disney representative said.
Ford, 71, sustained an ankle injury while filming in London, and taken to a local hospital.
Filming will continue on schedule while Ford recovers.
