Phinda Mkhonta - Comrades

Our brotherhood is not by the blood certainly,
But we are brothers by speech and by saying consequently;
We are brothers by life lived and we are hurt for it.

Hunger and hurt is the great killer of brotherhood;
Humiliation has forgotten much love;
Danger is the noble father and mother.

Being a comrade is like brothers whose bodies have
Shared fear shared harm, shared hurt and indignity.
Those that have attend this private meeting now
Surrounded by police with viciousness attitude and all such-
We must be tight together, labored together; we must carry the
Common looks like cards.

Comrades! No words can make you brothers
Brotherhood only the brave earn and by danger or
Harm bearing hurt and by no other.
Brotherhood here in the strange world must be rich
What lies around us and what lies before us are tiny
Matters as compare to what lies within us.
Rarest giving of life and the most valued.
Not to be had on true words.

Viva! Comrade viva!
Viva (they reply)
Viva! Comrade viva!
