Emma Wright - Playful Moon

2014-06-12 31

Cheeky moon,
Teasing the Sun,
Invading the daytime sky,
Evading the light,
Refusing to sleep,
Wanting to play,
Like a wayward child,
Denying her parent,
She stays and waits,
As long as she can,
Waiting long after the dawn,
For the light to come,
Chasing after her,
Reaching for her,
As it touches her she flees,
Chuckling as she goes,
He can never catch her,
She knows and so,
She teases and plays,
Cheeky moon.
