Herbert Nehrlich - Ignored, I Walk

2014-06-12 2

Tonight I am invisible,
I walk through words
and commas,
kick semicolons sharply,
and swing from question marks
but most of all
I laugh, and laugh and laugh.
It's so much fun
to make strange faces
at the work of others,
there is a poet with
a scary title, fancy that,
I have a look but leave
step over accents
and fat printed titles,
until I see it,
the familiar, each letter
and the lack of punctuation
stares back at me
as if to say:
The Pleasure Is All Mine.
